We build careers.
We start businesses.
We lead teams.
We create wealth
We build communities
And yet, somewhere along the way, many of us learned to negotiate with our ambition.
Don't be too loud.
Don't ask for too much.
Don't make success look like it's changed you
So what happens when your ambition grows beyond the boundaries you were taught to stay within?
You decode the beliefs, expectations, power dynamics, and invisible rules shaping what you believe is possible for you.
That is what Ambition Code is about.

Inside the Draped in Confidence community, ambition does not have to come at the cost of identity.
You step into a space intentionally designed for South Asian women who are ready to question the rules around visibility, power, money, identity, and success.
From thought provoking conversations and interactive experiences to honest peer exchange and cultural connection, Ambition Code brings together strategy, self-awareness, and community in a way traditional networking and leadership events rarely do..

Introduction To Draped In Confidence

Ambition isn't static. It evolves as we navigate careers, cultural expectations, family, leadership, and our own changing definitions of success.
Drawing on her personal and professional journey, Uma explores what it means to find your voice, own your space, challenge expectations, and redefine success on your own terms. Through candid reflections, lessons learned, and thought-provoking questions, she invites women to consider not just what they want to achieve, but who they want to become and the legacy they want to leave.

Purpose: Examine what shaped your ambition and redefine success on your own terms.
Participants reflect on the experiences, cultural expectations, family influences, and professional environments that shaped how they think about ambition and success. Through individual reflection and table discussions, they explore how their thinking has evolved, identify beliefs or behaviours they need to unlearn, and consider new ways of thinking and working that better align with who they are becoming.
Outcome: A new personal definition of ambition that reflects their values, aspirations, and desired way of living and leading.

What if you didn't have to choose just one version of yourself? A Portfolio Life is about embracing the many dimensions of who we are, from career and family to creativity, continuous learning, entrepreneurship, and giving back.
Drawing on her personal journey, Raji explores how seemingly different ambitions can coexist without sacrificing what matters most. This talk invites you to redefine success on your own terms and create a life that reflects the fullness of who you are, because life isn't meant to be lived in a single color. It's a beautiful palette of possibilities.

Purpose: Expand what participants believe is possible for their lives.
Participants explore the different dimensions they want their lives to contain, from career progression and financial independence to relationships, creativity, learning, and community contribution. They examine where they currently invest their time and energy, what may be missing, and how they could pursue multiple ambitions without assuming that one must come at the expense of another.
Outcome: A broader vision of what their lives could look like and clarity on the possibilities they want to explore.

This talk follows Trupti’s journey from India to Canada and her transition from nearly twenty years in HR to becoming the founder of Blue Pepper. She reflects on the self-talk required to become a beginner again, the challenge of learning to put her own work forward, and the process of building a business rooted in cultural memory and heritage.
Through personal moments and pivotal decisions, Trupti shares what she has adapted, what she has intentionally carried forward, and what she continues to learn as an entrepreneur. Her story offers an honest exploration of identity, reinvention, and creating something new that still feels deeply connected to where she comes from.

Purpose: Reframe risk as something to evaluate, navigate, and learn from, rather than something to automatically avoid.
Outcome: One priority opportunity, a practical low-risk experiment to explore it, and a clear next step toward turning possibility into action.

Purpose: Turn one ambition into a practical 90 day action plan.
Participants select one ambition or opportunity they are ready to prioritize. They define what they want to achieve over the next 90 days, identify the obstacles that could get in their way, determine the resources or support they need, and map out the specific actions and milestones that will move them forward. Through cross-table conversations, they connect with women who share similar goals or can offer complementary perspectives, creating accountability beyond the event.
Outcome: One clearly defined 90 day goal, a practical action plan, and a support circle to help sustain momentum.

Relax and connect in an informal setting over a curated dinner. Engage in meaningful conversations with peers and senior leaders, share stories, and explore potential collaborations beyond the structured sessions.
You will leave with:
New, authentic connections built in a relaxed environment
Insights and perspectives from diverse leadership experiences
Potential collaborations, mentorships, or partnerships
It was a great event and a safe space to open up and share stories! Thanks for organizing it Madhu.
Madhu gave language to what I had only ever felt. For years, I lived through patterns without naming them: Fear responses, social comparison, misaligned dopamine, and an identity that wasn't fully aligned. During the Visibility Shift, I finally saw myself clearly. That awareness changed everything.
It was a good networking event and well coordinated. Inspirational stories and thoughts.
